At 20 Words Literacy Project, we understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel your participation. This policy outlines our guidelines for cancellations related to event registrations, program participation, and service bookings.

1. Event and Program Cancellations by Participants

If you need to cancel your registration for an event or program (such as the 20 Words Spelling Bee or a literacy workshop), the following terms apply:

• Cancellations made at least 7 days before the event date:
  You may request a cancellation and be eligible for a refund or credit transfer to a future event (subject to our Refund Policy).

• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event date:
  Unfortunately, no refunds or transfers will be issued unless under exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergency), which must be communicated in writing and approved by our team.

• No-shows on the event day:
  No refunds or credits will be provided for participants who fail to attend without prior notice.

2. Cancellations by 20 Words Literacy Project

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any event or program due to:

• Low registration numbers

• Unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather conditions, public health advisories)

• Operational challenges

If an event is cancelled by us:

• You will be notified promptly

• You will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your participation to a rescheduled date or a future event

4. Digital Resources and Downloadable Products

Cancellations or refunds are not applicable for downloadable resources or digital products once the file or access has been delivered.

5. Volunteer Cancellations

If you are unable to fulfill your commitment as a volunteer, please notify our team at least 48 hours in advance, so arrangements can be made.
